EVERYBODY LOVES TERRY ALLEN

Our ethos here at San Portablo1901 has always been about celebrating the cultural history of Port Talbot and the surrounding areas. From a design perspective, our aim and objective has always been about producing quirky, top quality designs and garments that stand out from the crowd and offer something different.   The idea of designing a T-shirt featuring Terry Allen was something that we'd considered and discussed as far back as spring 2017. Terry first approached us in the summer of that year, when we were still in our old shop next door to Spec-Savers in town. SAN PORTABLO 1901 MIAMI BEACH T-SHIRT

Last November 2016 San Portablo bought out a limited run of Miami Beach single print sweatshirts.  Since that time we've had constant calls from our customers asking for us to bring out the Miami Beach design on a t-shirt since that time, and we're very happy to finally have the t-shirt now in stock in a range of sizes and colours, from small to Five XL. The t-shirt has had an upgrade, it's now a two colour black and white print, making the design come alive with a defining outline which emboldens the great steel frame and the Miami Beach and Amusement Park lettering. SAN PORTABLO SHAKESPEARE SOCIETY PLAZA T-SHIRT (A design perspective)

It was back in November 2016 when we first started planning a PLAZA t-shirt. For various reasons, it has taken ten months for San Portablo1901 Plaza design to see the light of day. Finally, happily, the T-shirt is now available to buy, in different sizes and colours. For me, having spent the last two decades darting in and out of Port Talbot, of all the buildings still standing in town, it was the iconic Plaza cinema that always caught my eye.
