1901 PRESENTS THE 2017 LIONS TOUR T-SHIRT...BANG...GERALD DAVIES...BANG...1901...

1901 is proud to announce the new 2017 Lions Tour T-shirt...

Every four years The British and Irish Lions take part in the biggest tour in the rugby world... The Lions visit New Zealand, South Africa and Australia in 12 year cycles...Four years ago the Lions with our very own Hibbard and Hook were triumphant in Australia...

The Lions were last victorious in a series in the land of the Long White Cloud in 1971...

On this tour The New Zealand press gave the Lions outside half Barry John the Monikor of the King - the Lions against those odds beat The All Blacks and in the words of the welsh wonder winger Gerald Davies (Lion hero)...

'Somewhere along the line it becomes a mental thing,

We grew in confidence;

We came to believe it was possible to beat The All Blacks''...

Hopefully the British and Irish Lions of 2017 will do the Northern Hemisphere rugby as proud as the Squad of 1971...

The Gerald Davies quote of 1971 has been written in the spiral style of the Alfred Hitchcock Film 'Vertigo'... on the front of the red shirt

On the back of the shirt our 1901 Logo has gone away from the usual branding, formed by the north and South islands that make up New Zealand - it looks as ace as Dan Carter's boot - Don't pass this top up - Try it on - its a winner - Somewhere along the Line...

We are hoping that it will be worn across the globe in the summer of 2017...

VIVA LIONS...VIVA 1901

    I hope you’re well Nigel? I’ve just watched your film. It’s inspirational mate. I’m sure you’ll go from strength to strength. If you’re in London anytime it would be great to meet up for a couple of beers. I’ve moved to Islington, so if you’re going to watch Tottenham at Wembley or White Hart Lane, give me a call. I can accommodate overnight guests @£250 including breakfast!! The Euro 2016 t-shirt I brought is still unworn at my sisters flat in Paris. The design is brilliant. Maybe you could design one for English fans in the shape of a dog turd? All the best Al
